This project encompassed the commissioning of 41,966 square feet, two-story retail supermarket.

The commissioning process employed on this project verified and documented that the facility and its systems and assemblies were installed, tested, and operated to meet the requirements of the construction documents and Sacramento Municipal Utility District’s (SMUD) Zero Energy Building Incentive Program.

The commissioned building systems included:

  • Thermal Envelope
  • Heating
  • Ventilating
  • Air conditioning (HVAC) systems
  • Indoor lighting systems & controls
  • Domestic hot water heating systems
  • Refrigeration systems

Envelope commissioning included:

  • Review of submittals
  • Contractor verification of installation utilizing checklists
  • Site observations of installed building materials and components

HVAC system commissioning included:

  • Review of installed equipment technical information
  • Site observations
  • Functional performance testing

Commissioning of the refrigeration systems included:

  • Review of installed equipment
  • Technical information
  • System performance verification
